Hey, I’m Caitlin. I launched the Marketing Department at VetCare in October 2020 and have worked hard to build it ever since! Over the years my team has created websites, run social media training, and supported practices with their Google reviews, ads, recruitment, client communications and more.

Originally from Toronto, my love for animals began early— as a kid, my family had multiple hamsters (all named Christie or Mr. Christie), a hedgehog, guinea pig, an albino rat, a betta fish, and a Golden Retriever named Phoenix.

I kept the trend going as I completed my Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing at the University of Guelph, rescuing four kittens with my roommates and fostering them in absolute chaos (and lots of love) until they found forever homes.

Now, I spend my time with my son, Finlay, and my dog, Diego in Vancouver. I love hiking up mountains, skiing or snowboarding down them, and recently picked up playing ice hockey again!

I love hearing medical stories. Tell me all about the largest parasite you’ve ever removed from a dog, or the surprising things you’ve found in a cat’s X-rays.

Humans are actually bioluminescent! Though we can’t see it, our bodies emit tiny amounts of light as our cells break down and regenerate. I love this fact because it highlights how there’s a quiet glow within each of us, like a hidden spark that speaks to our complexity.

Take a course on neuroscience. I learned a lot about human behaviour, motivation, and decision-making. I can’t wait to use my new skills to make more informed decisions, forge deeper social connections, and predict client needs for our practice teams.
