Today we’re excited to announce that Bay Regional Veterinary Hospital has joined the VetCare community. one of many beliefs we share with our new friends in Belleville, ON is that every patient deserves the same loving attention and care. Bay Regional is a shared venture between Dr. Linda Hack and Dr. Naomi Scromeda.

Dr. Linda Hack graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1987 and started working at Bay Regional in 1989. She has a special interest in dentistry and thrives on continued learning. Dr. Naomi Scromeda attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, graduating in 1986. After providing locum and emergency practice coverage for Belleville and neighbouring regions, she joined forces with Dr. Hack at Bay Regional. She has a special interest in surgery and pain management. She is a board member of the Quinte District Veterinary Association and is a director of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.

VetCare appreciates the Bay Regional team’s dedication to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service, and we know that together we can streamline the experience for all their clients, making a trip to the vets in Belleville that much more caring and convenient. Meet the Team

Dr. Linda Hack graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1987. After practicing mixed animal medicine and surgery in the Owen Sound area for two years, she moved to Belleville with her husband, Dr. Ron Herron, a large animal practitioner, presently at the Bay of Quinte Veterinary Services. Dr. Hack started working at the Bay Regional Veterinary Hospital in 1989 and purchased the clinic with Dr. Naomi Scromeda in 2000.

Dr. Hack has developed a special interest and passion for Veterinary Dentistry. She has undertaken many hours of continuing education including dental radiology courses in order to provide specialized dental services.

Dr. Hack and her husband have two daughters Emma and Katharine who are currently attending university. In her spare time Dr. Hack enjoys playing tennis, kickboxing and travelling. Her two red standard poodles Lucy and Simon may sometimes be seen happily greeting visitors to the clinic.

Naomi left Vancouver Island after high school and attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon graduating in 1986. She moved to Belleville in 1986 and practiced at Coleman Veterinary Hospital where she developed a special interest in surgery and pain management. After providing locum and emergency practice coverage for busy clinics in Trenton, Belleville, Picton, Peterborough and Kingston, Naomi purchased Bay Regional Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Linda Hack in 2000. She is actively involved in the community as a board member of the Quinte District Veterinary Association and is a director of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association. She is a contributing member of the IVAPM (International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management) and the AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners).

Naomi enjoys spending time with her two horses Jobe and Merit, competing in dressage and hunter/jumper shows. Other interests include hiking, skiing and biking. She shares her interests (except for the horses) with her husband Doug and her daughter Alia who is currently attending medical school at Queen’s University. Naomi and Doug live under the supervision of their three cats; Java Bean, Meeka and Tango.
