New Practice Announcement:
Pickering Animal Hospital

Please Welcome Pickering Animal Hospital

We are pleased to introduce Pickering Animal Hospital (PAH) as the latest addition to the VetCare community! Founded in April of 1987 and solely owned by Dr. Sue Smith since 2014, this dedicated practice has been serving Ontarians and their furry family members for almost 40 years.

Some fun facts about PAH: they currently have an incredible team of 5 DVMs and many talented veterinary support staff, an impressive 4.7/5 star rating on Google, host amazing blood donor clinics and Holiday Food Drives, and raise funds for the Farley Foundation!

Meet the Team

Dr. Sue graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1993 and has been with Pickering Animal Hospital since 1995. She enjoys building relationships with her clients and all aspects of medicine and the variety of cases that provides. Dr. Sue lives with her husband, her teenage daughter and son and their herd of pets: Jack the Mini Aussie, Lily the Golden Retriever, the cats George and Cutie, Dolce the rabbit and of course, Christopher the Crested Gecko.

Dr. Susan graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998 and has been working at Pickering Animal Hospital since then. She enjoys medicine and surgery but has a keen interest in dentistry and tackles most of Pickering Animal Hospital’s difficult dental cases. She also treats small pocket pets like rabbits and rats!!

Dr. Susan lives with her husband and two teenage daughters and her fur family of three cats, two Boston Terriers and one Lab.  In her spare time, she enjoys wood working and making scrollsaw signs.

Dr. Eran graduated from OVC in 2001. After honing his skills for four years as an emergency veterinarian in Toronto and as a clinic owner for six years, Dr. Eran has since been working as a locum with PAH since 2020. He enjoys surgery and the joy of making animals well. Eran is married with two children, two cats and a dog, Aero the Whippet.

Dr. Janice graduated from OVC in 2021 and joined the practice in August of 2022. She is passionate about preventative medicine and Fear-Free visits! Dr. Janice has a Golden Retriever named Pudding, a Shiba Inu named Lulu and two cats El and Mrs. Grey. In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, baking, and watching Netflix.

Dr. Deborah graduated from veterinary school in Israel in 2006. She worked as a locum in practices in both the US and Canada, then joined the PAH team as a part time vet in January 2021. She currently teaches Surgery and Anesthesia at the Seneca Vet Tech College, and especially enjoys meeting puppies and kittens with their bright eyes and bushy tails (who doesn’t?). She lives with her family in Toronto and enjoys hobbies like puzzles, yoga, scuba diving, fish tanks, cottage weekends by the lake and DIY home improvement.

We’re truly grateful for this chance to work alongside PAH in providing outstanding care to Ontario’s adorable pets. Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Pickering Animal Hospital!
