New Practice Announcement:
North Waterloo Veterinary Hospital

Please Welcome North Waterloo Veterinary Hospital

2023 is off to a great start: it’s official, North Waterloo Veterinary Hospital has joined the VetCare family. This will allow us to reach and provide exceptional care in a family-style environment to more pets and their families in Ontario. Dr. Linda Hirzer, who has thirty years of experience, and the North Waterloo team are a perfect match for VetCare as we all believe veterinary medicine is more than a profession—it is a calling.

We all do what we do because we understand what it feels like to care so deeply about an animal. We are thrilled to welcome the North Waterloo team and look forward to supporting their hard work and dedication to improving the lives of pets and their families.

Meet the Team

Dr. Linda Hirzer graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1992. After working with farm animal and companion animals for several years, Dr. Hirzer became an associate at the North Waterloo Veterinary Hospital, and in 1998 she purchased the practice. Linda lives on a farm in Wellesley with her husband and 2 children. She also shares her home with her dogs, cats, and horses.

Dr Julie Fell graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2011 and joined our team in 2017. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include the use of nutrition in the prevention and management of disease, soft tissue surgery and pain management/anesthesia, and ultrasonography. She is a long time resident of Waterloo Region and loves working within the Elmira community. She lives with her husband, two girls and busy young chocolate lab Scout. She loves shopping for antiques and travelling to Manitoulin Island.
